Formula 1 presented eleven different winning trophies during the first half of 2026. Their designs used circuit shapes, regional art and important moments from racing history. Each race organiser selected an object connected with its Grand Prix.

Six drivers collected those trophies across the opening eleven races. Andrea Kimi Antonelli received five different designs after winning five Grands Prix. George Russell, Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris also added distinctive trophies to their collections.

Australia linked its trophy to Jack Brabham

George Russell won the opening race and received an embossed silver dish. Its central pattern copied the steering wheel from Jack Brabham’s 1959 Cooper-Climax T51. That car carried Brabham to his first Formula 1 championship. The design connected the modern Australian Grand Prix with the country’s first champion. Brabham drove the compact rear-engined Cooper during a major technical change in Formula 1. The dish therefore represented both national history and engineering progress.

Russell lifted the trophy after leading Mercedes to victory in Melbourne. The silver surface kept the historic steering wheel visible from every angle. It differed clearly from the usual cup with two handles.

Antonelli collected five different Grand Prix trophies

Antonelli earned his first Grand Prix victory in China. The Shanghai trophy used two narrow cones that formed a rising flame. Its shape gave the driver a clear grip while keeping the outline simple. Japan followed with a design based on cherry blossoms and bamboo. Both plants have a strong place in Japanese art and seasonal celebrations.

Antonelli received that trophy after winning at Suzuka one week later.

Miami produced a geometric silver column made by Tiffany. A palm tree stood above the base, while a crown copied Hard Rock Stadium. Antonelli then collected a silver spiral in Canada, decorated with a red maple leaf. His fifth victory came in Monaco. That trophy combined carbon fibre with 24-carat gold and a diamond. The materials reflected both Formula 1 technology and Monaco’s traditional image.

European races used circuits and regional art

Lewis Hamilton won in Barcelona and received a trophy shaped around the circuit. An open section traced the layout of the Barcelona-Catalunya track. Decorative details also referred to traditional Catalan lace. The victory gave Hamilton his first Grand Prix win for Ferrari. His trophy joined a specific circuit outline with a regional craft tradition. The design remained easy to recognise without using a printed race poster.

Austria also used its circuit as the main visual idea. Russell received a gold model based on the Red Bull Ring. The circuit’s elevation and compact shape made the outline immediately recognisable.

Britain and Belgium followed different traditions

Charles Leclerc won the British Grand Prix and lifted the Royal Automobile Club Trophy. The historic cup is presented to the winner at Silverstone. It must later return to the club instead of remaining with the driver. That rule separates the British trophy from most modern Grand Prix awards. Leclerc could celebrate with the cup during the podium ceremony. The permanent trophy then returned to its established collection.

Antonelli’s Belgian award used a different type of tradition. He received a large silver bottle inspired by champagne celebrations. The polished surface and engraved details connected the object with the podium ceremony.

Hungarian porcelain closed the first half

Lando Norris won in Hungary and received a handcrafted porcelain trophy. Artists decorated it with patterns drawn from Hungarian folk art. The detailed production process lasted about six months. The trophy used bright colours, floral shapes and a wide central body. Its form differed from the metal awards presented at most earlier races. Norris held it above the podium after his first win as reigning champion.

These eleven trophies showed several approaches to the same sporting award. Some celebrated local materials, while others copied circuits or historic objects. Every design gave its race a separate visual identity.
