Tickets for the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix have gone on sale in Malaysia. The sales launch connects the Sakhir race with a new direct flight from Kuala Lumpur. The Grand Prix takes place from 2 to 4 October.
Organisers presented several ticket levels during an event in Kuala Lumpur. The offer covers general admission, grandstands and the main grandstand. Hospitality packages will be released through a separate sales process.
A new route supports the ticket launch
Gulf Air will begin direct flights between Bahrain and Kuala Lumpur on 29 September. The first service arrives before the race weekend starts. That timing gives Malaysian visitors a direct route to the circuit. The connection is part of a wider travel partnership around the event. Fans can arrange flights and race tickets through linked sales channels. Accommodation remains a separate choice for each visitor.
Bahrain has hosted Formula 1 since 2004. The circuit normally stages its race under floodlights. The October date places the event in the later part of the 2026 calendar.
Three public ticket levels are available
International buyers can choose general admission for 219 US dollars. A standard grandstand ticket costs 350 dollars. Main grandstand access is listed at 566 dollars, including local tax. Malaysian citizens receive a separate local offer with MyKad identification. General admission costs 200 ringgit under that option. The listed grandstand price is 1,291.40 ringgit.
Children aged from three to six receive a 25 percent discount. Children below three can enter without a ticket. The circuit’s entry and seating rules still apply to every family.
| Ticket section | Standard international price | Price for Malaysian residents |
|---|---|---|
| General admission ticket | USD 219 | MYR 200 with MyKad |
| Grandstand ticket | USD 350 | MYR 1,291.40 with MyKad |
| Main grandstand ticket | USD 566 including tax | Available at the standard international price |

Sepang provides the local Formula 1 connection
Malaysia last hosted a Formula 1 Grand Prix at Sepang in 2017. The circuit remains familiar to many local supporters. The Kuala Lumpur launch uses that established audience for an overseas race. Sepang and Bahrain offer very different viewing conditions. Sepang is known for broad corners and tropical weather. Sakhir combines long straights, heavy braking and an evening race.
The promotion does not announce a Malaysian Grand Prix return. It concerns travel and tickets for Bahrain. The distinction matters because the event remains at Bahrain International Circuit.
The weekend includes three days at Sakhir
Friday normally contains practice sessions before qualifying takes place on Saturday. The Grand Prix follows on Sunday. Final session times will appear in the official event schedule. A grandstand ticket provides an assigned viewing area for the weekend. General admission uses designated public zones. Each option gives a different view of the long Sakhir circuit.
Hospitality packages will add lounges, catering and other services. Organisers said those products will follow later. The current launch focuses on the public ticket categories.
Travel planning starts before race week
Visitors need enough time for passports, entry rules and accommodation. The direct flight begins only three days before the event. Some travellers may therefore choose an earlier connecting service. Bahrain International Airport serves Manama and sits east of the circuit. Race-weekend traffic can lengthen the drive to Sakhir. Organisers publish transport details before the event begins.

The Malaysian launch gives fans a clear starting point. It combines a confirmed race date with published ticket prices. The Grand Prix itself remains in Bahrain from 2 to 4 October.
Prices separate local and international buyers
International general admission costs 219 US dollars, including the stated tax. Grandstand access costs 350 dollars, while main grandstand seats cost 566 dollars. The three prices describe different viewing areas rather than separate race days.
Malaysian citizens receive a separate offer through the MyKad programme. General admission costs 200 ringgit under that route. The listed grandstand price is 1,291.40 ringgit, with the relevant tax already included.
The child policy uses two age groups
Children aged three through six receive a 25 percent reduction. Children younger than three enter without a ticket when accompanied by an adult. Ticket selection therefore depends on each child’s age.
The offer covers the race weekend at Sakhir rather than a return event at Sepang. Sepang last hosted Formula 1 in 2017. The Malaysian launch provides ticket access and a dedicated flight connection for travelling supporters.
The Kuala Lumpur launch connected tickets with direct travel
The sales event took place at Sunway Pyramid in Kuala Lumpur. Bahrain International Circuit presented the 2026 offer with Gulf Air and Tourism Malaysia. The partners also announced a new direct route between Kuala Lumpur and Bahrain. That flight gives Malaysian supporters a simpler journey to the Sakhir circuit.
The Bahrain Grand Prix runs from 27 to 29 November. Friday contains practice, Saturday brings qualifying, and Sunday contains the race. A weekend ticket covers all three days in the selected viewing area. Buyers still need separate travel documents and accommodation for the trip.
